Re: Application 2001-0435-7 - Approved - Extension to 10 August 2001
Les Communications Matane inc. - CHRM-FM Matane, Quebec

Dear Sir:

We are pleased to inform you that the Commission approves your application to extend the implementation date for the radio programming undertaking CHRM-FM at Matane, Quebec.

The Commission grants an extension of three (3) months until 10 August 2001.

This extension does not, however, relieve you of the responsibility to complete construction and implementation of the radio programming undertaking CHRM-FM at an earlier date.

Should the work not be completed within the period stipulated in this decision, or should the Commission deny the licensee's application for an extension, the licence will not be issued.

As stipulated in the decision, the authorization will be effective and the licence will be issued only at such time as the construction of the undertaking is completed and it is ready to commence operation. Consequently, the applicant is required to notify the Commission in writing, by 10 August 2001, once it has completed construction and is ready to commence operation of the undertaking, so its licence can be issued.

The Commission requires that this decision be appended to the licence of your undertaking or, where a licence has not yet been issued, to the original decision granting you a licence.

Yours truly,

Ursula Menke
Secretary General
