Order CRTC 2000-98

Ottawa, 7 February 2000
On 7 January 2000, TELUS Communications (B.C.) Inc. filed an application for approval of General Tariff Item 149, to introduce the Residential Reserved Telephone Number Service Promotion, from 15 February 2000 to 30 June 2000, which allows residential customers who disconnect their company provided local service to reserve their existing telephone number or SmartRing number for a one-time charge of $10. The telephone number will be reserved until 15 October 2000. In addition, the company proposes removal of an expired promotion.

In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:
The application is approved effective 15 February 2000.
