Order CRTC 2000-86

Ottawa, 3 February 2000
On 15 September 1999, Sogetel inc. (Sogetel) filed an application for the approval of tariff revisions to its General Tariff Item 1.4.1 related to billing and payment.
File No.: Tariff Notice 88

1.

Sogetel proposed to introduce a charge of $100 when a customer requests either a partial or a complete telephone bill reprint when 6 months or more have passed since the original billing date.

2.

The Commission notes that Sogetel submitted cost information to support the above rate. However, the Commission is of the view that the costing information does not justify the magnitude of the rate proposed.

3.

In light of the foregoing, the Commission denies Sogetel's application.
