Zero-dialed emergency call routing service

The Commission approves, on an interim basis, Island Telecom Inc.'s request to introduce Zero-dialed emergency call routing service to Item 505 of the Regional Services Tariff. This service will enable carriers whose end-customers dial zero in an emergency to route these calls to a designated public safety answering position.
The Commission also approves, on an interim basis, the Agreement for the Provision of Zero-Dialed Emergency Call Routing Service.

These revisions will take effect on 14 August 2000.
