Order CRTC 2000-547

Ottawa, 16 June 2000
Bell Canada
Tariff Notice 6472

Promotion

The Commission denies Bell Canada's request to extend for three months the Winback and Additional Line promotion approved in Order CRTC 2000-100, dated 8 February 2000.
In Order 2000-100, the Commission considered the Winback and Additional Line promotion to be a continuation, with revisions, of the promotion approved under Telecom Order CRTC 99-669, dated 15 July 1999, which expired on 31 December 1999. The combined enrolment and benefit periods of the Winback did not exceed 12 months.
The Commission considers that, with the proposed three month extension, the combined enrolment and benefit periods of the Winback would exceed 12 months and therefore it would not be appropriate to approve the proposed promotion without the support of an imputation test.

Bell Canada filed the application on 18 April 2000 to revise General Tariff Items 70.2 and 675.1.
