Order CRTC 2000-137

Ottawa, 22 February 2000
Northwestel Inc.
Tariff Notice 726
Withdraw data services
The Commission approves Northwestel's request to detariff the Intelligent Communications Network Services consisting of Envoy 100, iNet 2000, TradeRoute, ICN Enhanced Fax and Exten.
Due to the company's inability to ensure Year 2000 compliance for iNet, Envoy, and TradeRoute, all existing customers with these services were transferred to Bell Canada on 1 September 1999.
In addition, Northwestel no longer has customers using Exten and does not anticipate any future demand for this service.
Northwestel filed its application on 1 December 1999 to withdraw Tariff CRTC 3003 Items 1109 and 1110.
These revisions take effect on the date of this order.
Secretary General
