Celebration: Vision Inspired Music |
|
|
On 24 November 2000, the Commission approved a Category 2 specialty television service to be known as Celebration: Vision Inspired Music. The terms and conditions generally applicable to Category 2 services are set out in the public notice accompanying this and other decisions released today. |

Conditions of licence |
|
|
The licence, when issued, will expire 31 August 2007 and will be subject to the following conditions as well as to those set out in both Public Notice CRTC 2000-171 andin the licence to be issued. |

|
Nature of service |
|
|
a) The licensee shall provide a national English-language Category 2 specialty television service dedicated to religious, spiritual and inspirational themes. |
|
|
b) The programming must be drawn exclusively from the following categories, as set out in Schedule I to the Specialty Services Regulations, 1990: |

|
c) All musical selections broadcast during the broadcast week shall be drawn from content category 3 (special interest music) and not less than 70% shall be drawn from content subcategories 31 (concert) and 35 (non-classic religious), as set out in Public Notice CRTC 2000-14, as amended from time to time. |
|
|
d) All programs from categories other than 12, 13 or 14 shall feature religious, spiritual and inspirational music. |
|
|
e) No more than 15% of all programming broadcast during the broadcast week shall be drawn from category 7. |

Definitions |
|
|
Broadcast day shall have the same meaning as that set out in section 2 of the Television Broadcasting Regulations, 1987.
