Six-month administrative renewals

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licences for the radio programming, television programming and radiocommunication distribution undertakings listed in the appendix to this decision, from 1 September 2000 to 28 February 2001, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licences.

2.

The Commission announced the applications for the renewal of these licences in Public Notice CRTC 2000-112 released today. However, it will not be able to rule on these applications before the current licences expire.

3.

The decision released today does not dispose of the renewal applications, nor of any substantive issue that may exist with respect to the renewal of these licences. The Commission will issue a decision on the licence renewal applications at a later date.
