Decision CRTC 2000-266
Ottawa, 12 July 2000 | |
TVA Group Inc. Montréal, Quebec |
|
One-year administrative renewals
1. |
The Commission renews the broadcasting licences for CFTM-TV Montréal (the originating station) and the TVA television network, from 1 September 2000 to 31 August 2001, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licences. |
2. |
The Commission has granted this administrative renewal to allow it to consider, at the same time, all licences held by multi-station ownership groups, as stated in Building on success - A policy framework for Canadian television - Public Notice 1999-97 dated 11 June 1999. |
3. |
The decision released today does not dispose of any substantive issues that may exist with respect to the renewal of these licences. When the licence renewal applications are filed, they will be announced and interested parties will then have an opportunity to comment. |
