Distribution of Children's Miracle Network Telethon |
The Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for the cable distribution undertaking serving part of Edmonton and area, during the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon. The telethon is scheduled from 7 p.m. on 3 June 2000 to 4 p.m. on 4 June 2000. |
The amendment will allow the licensee to interrupt the carriage of the telethon on KXLY-TV Spokane, Washington, in order to broadcast locally-produced segments of the telethon from CITV-TV Edmonton. |
The licensee is therefore relieved, by condition of licence, from the requirement of section 7(a) of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations that it not alter or delete a programming service in the course of its distribution. |
