One-year administrative renewal for CBVE-FM |

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CBVE-FM Québec and its transmitters, from 1 September 2000 to 31 August 2001, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence. |

The Commission has granted an administrative renewal in order to consider the renewal of this licence at the same time as that of the CBC's other radio stations in Québec and Montréal. |

The decision released today does not dispose of any substantive issues that may exist with respect to the renewal of this licence. When a licence renewal application is filed, it will be announced and interested parties will then have an opportunity to comment. |
