Transfer of control and shares

The Commission has approved, by Letter of Authority A99-0144 dated 26 November 1999, a change to the ownership and effective control of NBTel Inc. BCE Inc. would augment its direct and indirect voting interest in Aliant Inc. to approximately 53%. As a consequence, the effective control of NBTel Inc. would change from control by Aliant Inc., which is controlled by its board of directors, to legal control being exercised by BCE Inc. NBTel Inc. is licensee of a broadcasting distribution undertaking serving Saint John and Moncton in New Brunswick.
