The Commission has received the following applications:

ONTARIO REGION

1. HAMILTON, BURLINGTON, ST. CATHARINES AND TORONTO, Ontario

Application (199907482) by CROSSROADS TELEVISION SYSTEM (Crossroads) to amend the broadcasting licence of television station CITS-TV, with respect to the balance programming broadcast in the evening. CITS-TV is a religious television station as defined in Public Notice CRTC 1993-78, Religious Broadcasting Policy.

Crossroads has requested a change to an existing condition of licence which requires that 12 of the 20 hours of weekly balance programming must be broadcast between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The proposed amendment to the condition would extend by one hour (to 12:00 midnight) the evening hours in which the balance programming must be broadcast. No change is proposed to the weekly amount of balance programming.

2. LONDON, Ontario

Application (199901492) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION to amend the broadcasting licence for CBCL-FM operating on frequency 93.5 MHz, by decreasing its effective radiated power from 100,000 watts to 69,300 watts.

The Corporation states "the coverage loss in the direction of Toronto resulting from this modification will be covered by CBLA-FM-2 Paris".

- submit your original written intervention to the Secretary General of the Commission (CRTC, Ottawa, K1A 0N2). A true copy MUST be sent to the applicant and proof that this has been done must accompany the original intervention sent to the Commission.

Each paragraph of the document should be numbered. However, your intervention and the proof of service to the applicant will also have to be filed in hard copy;

- please note, that only the documents (applications and interventions) electronically filed will be available on the Commission’s web site. You will be able to access these documents by indicating the public notice or the notice of public hearing number;

- the intervention must be received by the CRTC and by the applicant ON OR BEFORE the deadline date indicated below. The Commission cannot be held responsible for postal delays;

- your intervention should clearly identify the application and indicate whether you support or oppose the application, or if you propose changes to it, include the facts and grounds therefor. In the event that the application is brought to the oral phase of the hearing it would be helpful to the Commission if you provide reasons why your written comments are not sufficient and an appearance is necessary;

Your intervention will be considered by the Commission, and will form part of the public record of the proceeding without further notification to you, provided the procedure set out above has been followed. You will be contacted only if your submission raises procedural questions.
