The Commission has received the following application: |
1. ACROSS CANADA |
Application (199907549) by ALLIANCE ATLANTIS COMMUNICATIONS INC., (Alliance Atlantis), P.O. Box 10, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 1J9, for authority to acquire a 47.85% voting interest in Sportscope Television Network Ltd. (Sportscope), licensee of the national English-language specialty programming undertaking devoted exclusively to sports programming. The transfer would be effected through the transfer of the 682,576.36 common shares, currently held by Mr. Keith Campbell, the trustee, representing 47.85% of the voting interest of Sportscope to Alliance Atlantis. |
The transaction would not result in a change of effective control as Mr. John Levy, through Levfam Holdings Inc. and 1240412 Ontario Limited, will continue to own the remaining 52.15% of the voting interests in Sportscope. |
