On 1 June 1999, Bruce Municipal Telephone System (Bruce) filed an application to increase various rates, including individual-line residential and business rates. Bruce also proposed to introduce a reduced rate for additional residential lines. |

1.The proposed rate changes are filed pursuant to Review of Contribution Regime of Independent Telephone Companies in Ontario and Quebec, Telecom Decision CRTC 99-5, 21 April 1999 (Decision 99-5). |

2.In light of the time frames involved with the implementation of Decision 99-5, the Commission is of the view that it would not be appropriate to consider the introduction of the proposed reduced rate for additional residential lines within the context of this application. The Commission would nevertheless be prepared to consider the proposed changes at a later date. |
|
|
3.In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that: |
|
|
(1) Tariff Notice 63 is approved, as modified by paragraph (2) below. |
|
|
(2) The proposed reduced rate for additional residential lines is denied. |
