| On 15 October 1999, CoopTel filed an application to remove the Internet access service section from its General Tariff. | |

| 1. The company noted that the application was filed in accordance with Forbearance from retail internet services, Telecom Order CRTC 99-592 dated 25 June 1999 (Order 99-592). | |
| 2. In Order 99-592, the Commission effectively forbore from regulating retail Internet services provided by CoopTel. The forbearance was ordered to become effective upon approval by the Commission of a filing confirming that the company has complied with the requirement to separate competitive Internet service assets, revenues and expenses from its rate base and shortfall determination. | |
| 3. With its application, CoopTel submitted that its accounting system enables the company to segregate its Internet service and that it would follow Phase III procedures to attribute related assets, expenses and revenues to its competitive services category. | |
| 4. Having considered the company's application, the Commission is satisfied that CoopTel has met the requirements of Order 99-592. | |
| 5. In light of the foregoing, the Commission approves, effective the date of this order, the tariff revisions proposed in Tariff Notice 38. The company is directed to include a footnote in its Phase III results, on a going forward basis, stating that retail Internet service is included in the Competitive Terminal category. | |
