On 15 October 1999, TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI) filed an application introducing Special Assembly Tariff Item Z-106. Tariff Item Z-106 contains the terms, conditions and rates of an arrangement which provides for national operator services with the service features that meet the specific requirements of two large customer applications. TCI filed customer agreements and schedules for the national operator services.

1. The Commission received no comments with respect to this application.

 

2. The Commission notes that it has not disposed of the directory-related issues identified in TELUS Communications Inc. and TELUS Communications (Edmonton) Inc. - Revisions to directory assistance services, Telecom Public Notice CRTC 98-23 dated 9 September 1998.

 

3. In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:

 

The application is approved with the exception of the following sections of Schedule "1" - Service description of the national operator services agreement, consideration of which is deferred:

 

a) Clause 1.2.9; and
b) Clause 1.2.10.
