Telecom Order CRTC 99-111 |
On 21 December 1998, BC TEL filed an application for approval of revisions to General Tariff Item 276, BC TEL Prime Loyalty Promotion, extending the duration of the promotion and removing the calling card transaction charge waiver component of the offer. |
File No.: Tariff Notice 3895 |
1.BC TEL submitted that it would be appropriate to extend the enrolment period for the BC TEL Prime Loyalty Promotion by three months to 31 December 1999 as the company had not been able to promote the offer due to extensive implementation delays. BC TEL indicated that no customers had enrolled in the offer. |
2.The Commission notes that the enrolment period for the BC TEL Prime Loyalty Promotion runs from 5 October 1998 to 30 September 1999. Participating customers receive benefits for a period of up to twelve months from the date of enrolment. |
3.In light of the duration of the promotion, the Commission is not persuaded that an extension to the enrolment period is appropriate. The Commission, therefore, denies BC TEL's request to extend the duration of the Prime Loyalty Promotion. |

4.The proposed tariff revisions removing the calling card transaction charge waiver |
