Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 1999-13 dated 16 December 1999 relating to its Public Hearing which will be held on 21 February 2000 at the Vancouver Trade & Convention Centre, 999 Canada Place, Vancouver, British Columbia, the Commission announces the following:

YELLOWKNIFE, Northwest Territories
Application (199911540) by L'ASSOCIATION FRANCO-CULTURELLE DE YELLOWKNIFE, P.O. Box 1586, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, X1A 2P2, for a broadcasting licence to carry on a French-language FM (Type A) community radio programming undertaking at Yellowknife. The new station would operate on frequency 93.3 MHz (channel 227 A1) with an effective radiated power of 164 watts.
The applicant proposes to broadcast 15 hours of station-produced programming and 111 hours of programming originating from the Réseau Francophone d'Amérique (RFA), a service from L'Alliance des radios communautaires du Canada, per broadcast week.
The Commission will only proceed with this application at the public hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that it is technically acceptable.
