Licence amendment for Canal D
1. The Commission approves the application by Premier Choix Networks Inc. to amend the broadcasting licence for the French-language specialty programming undertaking known as Canal D, by changing the definition of "broadcast day", as contained in its conditions of licence, to begin at 4:00 a.m. instead of 6:00 a.m.
2. The licensee has requested the amendment in order to ensure that the "broadcast day" definition reflects that used in Canal D's daily logging operations. The Commission notes that this change would not have any impact on the program logs nor on any of the Canadian content requirements.
3. The definition will now read as follows:
"broadcast day" means the period of up to 24 consecutive hours, beginning each day not earlier than four o'clock in the morning.
