Licence renewal and amendments including addition of CITV-TV

1. The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the radiocommunication distribution undertaking serving Riske Creek (Toosey Indian Reserve) from 1 March 1999 to 31 August 2005, subject to the conditions in effect under the current licence, as well as to those conditions specified in the licence to be issued.

2. The Commission approves the licensee’s proposal to add a transmitter for the distribution, in non-encrypted mode, of the programming service of CITV-TV (IND) Edmonton. This transmitter will operate on channel 7 with a transmitter power of 1 watt.

3. The Commission notes that this undertaking will distribute, in non-encrypted mode, the following programming services:

CHAN-TV (CTV) Vancouver

CFJC-TV (CBC) Kamloops

CITV-TV (IND) Edmonton

4. The licensee is authorized to distribute these services on channels 7, 9 and 11, each with a transmitter power of 1 watt, as certified by the Department of Industry.

5. As well, the Commission approves the licensee’s proposal to relocate the transmitting facilities to a site approximately .08 kilometre southeast of the presently authorized site.
