Decision CRTC 99-26
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
Across Canada/Montréal, Quebec
One-year renewals
1. The Commission renews the broadcasting licences held by the CBC for the following undertakings, from 1 September 1999 to 31 August 2000, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licences:
· the English-language television network
· the French-language television network
· CBC Newsworld
· le Réseau de l'information

2. This will bring the expiry date of the above undertakings into agreement with the expiry date of other CBC undertakings whose applications for licence renewal will be considered later this year. The Commission will provide further details concerning these applications and the proceeding it will use to consider them in a Notice of Public Hearing to be issued at a later date.
