Licence amendment; relocation of a transmitter to Chatfield

1. The Commission approves the application for authority to amend the licence for the (MDS) radiocommunication distribution undertaking serving the province of Manitoba, by relocating a transmitter from Fraserwood to Chatfield. The effective isotropic radiated power of the Chatfield transmitter will be 8.2 watts. The licensee indicated that this change would improve service to the area.

2. The Commission authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned changes.

3. In accordance with section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the above-mentioned amendment will only be valid when the Department of Industry certifies to the Commission that a Broadcasting Certificate has been or will be issued.
