New radio network to broadcast Canadian Football League games

1. The Commission approves the application for an English-language radio network licence for the purpose of broadcasting all pre-season, regular and playoff games of the Calgary Stampeders for the 1999, 2000 and 2001 seasons of the Canadian Football League.

2. The Commission will issue a network licence expiring at the end of the 2001 football season, subject to the conditions specified in the licence to be issued.

3. Any affiliates of the CBC carrying broadcasts of the games must ensure that their network affiliation agreement is respected, and that any rescheduling of CBC programs affected by the broadcasts in question is acceptable to the CBC.
