Twelve-month renewal

1.  The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for native radio programming undertaking CJLR-FM La Ronge and its transmitters, CJLR-FM-1 Montreal Lake, VF2260 Prince Albert, VF2298 Black Lake Reserve, VF2299 Fond-du-Lac, VF2300 James South Reserve and VF2301 Shoal Lake Reserve, from 1 September 1999 to 31 August 2000, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence.

2.  The Commission has granted an administrative renewal in order to consider the renewal of this licence following the review of its native broadcasting policy.

3.  The decision released today does not dispose of any substantive issues that may exist with respect to the renewal of this licence. When a licence renewal application has been filed, it will be announced and interested parties will then have an opportunity to comment.
