Decision CRTC 99-128

Ottawa, 4 June 1999

Premier Choix TVEC inc.
Montréal, Quebec

Six-month licence renewal for Canal Famille

1. For administrative reasons, the Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the French-language specialty programming undertaking Canal Famille, from 1 September 1999 to 29 February 2000, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence.

2. The Commission has granted an administrative renewal because it will not be able to rule on the licence renewal application before the current licence term expires. This renewal does not dispose of the application, nor of any substantive issues that may exist with respect to the renewal of this licence. The Commission will announce the application at a later date.
