Decision CRTC 99-116

Shaw Cablesystems (Sask) Ltd.

Application processed by
Public Notice CRTC 1999-49
dated 19 March 1999

Distribution of Children's Miracle Network Telethon

1. The Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for the cable distribution undertaking serving Prince Albert during the Children's Miracle Network Telethon. The telethon is scheduled from 7 p.m. on 5 June 1999 to 4:00 p.m. on 6 June 1999.

2. The amendment will allow the licensee to interrupt the carriage of the telethon on CITV-TV Edmonton, in order to broadcast segments of the telethon from Saskatchewan Communications Network (SCN).

3. The licensee is therefore relieved, by condition of licence, from the requirement of section 7(a) of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations that it not alter or delete a programming service in the course of its distribution.

This decision is to be appended to the licence. It is available in alternative format upon request, and may also be viewed at the following Internet site:http:
