  The Commission has received the following applications:
  WESTERN CANADA AND TERRITORIES REGION
  1.  PRINCE ALBERT, Saskatchewan
  Application (199801775) by SHAW CABLESYSTEMS (SASK) LTD., 2326 Hanselman Avenue, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, S7L 5Z3, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Prince Albert, by being relieved by condition of licence, from the requirement of subsection 7(a) of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations, 1997, which states in part that:
  "A  licensee shall not alter or delete a programming service in the course of its distribution except..."
  The licensee proposes to delete the signal of CITV-TV Edmonton and substitute the signal of the Saskatchewan Communications Network (SCN), during the Children's Miracle Network Telethon to be aired from 7:00 p.m. on 30 May 1998 to 5:00 p.m. on 31 May 1998.

  The licensee proposes to delete the signal of KHQ-TV Spokane, Washington and substitute the signal of CITV-TV Edmonton, during the Children's Miracle Network Telethon to be aired from 7:00 p.m. on 30 May 1998 to 4:00 p.m. on 31 May 1998.

  Intervention

  -  the intervention must be received by the CRTC and by the applicant ON OR BEFORE the deadline date indicated below. The Commission cannot be held responsible for postal delays;
  -  your intervention should clearly identify the application and indicate whether you support or oppose the application, or if you propose changes to it, with facts and grounds therefor. In the event that the application is brought to the oral phase of a hearing it would be helpful to the Commission if you would provide reasons why your written comments are not sufficient and an appearance is necessary;
  Your intervention will be considered by the Commission, and will form part of the public record of the proceeding without further notification to you, provided the procedure set out above has been followed. You will be contacted only if your submission raises procedural questions.
