Public Notice CRTC 1998-124
The Commission has received the following applications:
1. ACROSS CANADA
Applications (199806296, 199806304) by CABLE PUBLIC AFFAIRS CHANNEL/LA CHAÎNE D'AFFAIRES PUBLIQUES PAR CÂBLE (CPAC) to amend its broadcasting licences to carry on English- and French-language satellite to cable programming undertakings, by suspending the following conditions of licence, as long as the licensee remains a member in good standing of the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC).
Conditions of licence:
3.  The licensee shall adhere to the guidelines on gender portrayal set out in the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' (CAB) "Sex-role Portrayal Code for Television and Radio Programming", as amended from time to time and approved by the Commission.
4.  The licensee shall adhere to the guidelines on the depiction of violence in television programming set out in the CAB's "Voluntary Code Regarding Violence in Television Programming", as amended from time to time and approved by the Commission.

2.  HAMILTON, BURLINGTON, ST. CATHARINES AND TORONTO, Ontario
Application (199805719) by CROSSROADS TELEVISION SYSTEM to amend the broadcasting licence of the (television) programming undertaking CITS-TV Hamilton, by increasing the effective radiated power from 473,000 to 514,000 watts.
The applicant indicates that this change has become necessary due to a change in the transmitting antenna.
The applicant also indicates that the proposed change should provide essentially the same coverage as originally authorized.

Intervention

Each paragraph of the document should be numbered. However, your intervention and the proof of service to the applicant will also have to be filed in hard copy;
