The Commission has received the following applications:
WESTERN CANADA AND TERRITORIES REGION
1. MCBRIDE, British Columbia
Application (199801569) by ROBSON VALLEY ENTERTAINMENT ASSOCIATION, P.O. Box 777, McBride, British Columbia, V0J 2E0, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (radiocommunication) distribution undertaking serving McBride, by adding a low power television transmitter to provide, in non-encrypted mode, the programming service of The Sports Network (TSN) on channel 17 with a transmitter power of 100 watts.

2. INUVIK AND AKLAVIK, Northwest Territories
Application (199801809) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION to amend the broadcasting licence of the (radio) programming undertaking CHAK Inuvik, by changing the frequency of its rebroadcasting transmitter CBAK Aklavik from 540 kHz to 1210 kHz. The effective radiated power will remain at 40 watts.
The applicant states that this change to a higher frequency will improve service to the community.

3. INUVIK AND TULITA (FORMERLY FORT NORMAN), Northwest Territories
Application (199801791) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION to amend the broadcasting licence of the (radio) programming undertaking CHAK Inuvik, by increasing the effective radiated power of the transmitter CBQI Tulita from 40 to 99 watts.
The applicant states that this power increase and improvement to the antenna system will provide a better service to the station's coverage area.

4. YELLOWKNIFE, FORT SMITH AND FORT PROVIDENCE, Northwest Territories
Application (199801816) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION to amend the broadcasting licence of the (radio) programming undertaking CFYK Yellowknife, by increasing the effective radiated power of the transmitters CBDI Fort Smith and CBQC Fort Providence from 40 to 99 watts.
The applicant states that the power increase and improvements to the antenna systems will provide a better service to both areas.

Intervention
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED BY THE COMMISSION AND PLACED ON THE PUBLIC FILE,
- submit your original written intervention to the Secretary General of the Commission (CRTC, Ottawa, K1A 0N2). A true copy MUST be sent to the applicant and proof that this has been done must accompany the original intervention sent to the Commission.

Each paragraph of the document should be numbered. However, your intervention and the proof of service to the applicant will also have to be filed in hard copy;

- the intervention must be received by the CRTC and by the applicant ON OR BEFORE the deadline date indicated below. The Commission cannot be held responsible for postal delays;
- your intervention should clearly identify the application and indicate whether you support or oppose the application, or if you propose changes to it, include the facts and grounds therefor. In the event that the application is brought to the oral phase of a hearing it would be helpful to the Commission if you provide reasons why your written comments are not sufficient and an appearance is necessary;
