Ottawa, 7 August 1998
Telecom Order CRTC 98-772
On 8 June 1998, under Tariff Notice (TN) 84, TELUS Communications (Edmonton) Inc. (TCEI) filed, pursuant to TELUS Communications (Edmonton) Inc. - Local Competition and Related Issues, Telecom Decision CRTC 98-6, 7 May 1998, tariff revisions pertaining to the provision of unbundled network components and traffic termination.
File No.: TN 84
1.TCEI indicated that its tariffs were based on the use of TELUS Communications Inc.'s (TCI's) Phase II costs, provided in Stentor TN 516 and TCI TN 948A, as a proxy for its own costs.
2.The Commission notes that in Telecom Order CRTC 98-718, 22 July 1998, it granted interim approval to TCI TN 948, as modified by TN 948A.
3.The Commission further notes that, like TCI TN 948A, TCEI TN 84 did not include loop rates for Band A.
4.The Commission considers that certain changes pertaining to loop rates in Band A for TCEI are necessary on an interim basis.
5.In light of the foregoing the Commission orders that:
TCEI TN 84 is granted interim approval with the following modification:
TCEI Type A and Type B loop rates in Band A are to be set at $13.70 and $13.80 per month, respectively.
