Telecom Order CRTC 98-763
On 23 July 1998, TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI) filed an application providing for the introduction of Local Number Portability (LNP) - Updates to the Stentor Service Control Point (SCP) Tariff reflecting the Commission's directives in Telecom Order CRTC 98-678 dated 9 July 1998 (Order 98-678) and the Industry Consensus Report prepared by the LNP Rollout Sub-Working Group.

1.TCI indicated that, during the interim period, it would forward any requests for ported number updates it receives to Stentor who will, in turn, update the Stentor LNP - SCP as required.
2.The Commission considers that the tariff revisions proposed by TCI in TN 1066 comply with Order 98-678 and are consistent with the Industry Consensus Report.
3.In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:
a) TCI TN 1066 is approved effective
31 July 1998; and
b) TCI is directed to issue forthwith revised tariff pages.
