On 3 February 1998, the Commission received, from the MetroNet Communications Group Inc. (MetroNet), an interconnection agreement regarding 9-1-1 service between the company and TELUS Communications Inc. (the Agreement).

1. In Telecom Order CRTC 97-1959 dated 30 December 1997 (Order 97-1959), the Commission granted interim approval with certain modifications to a proposed Interconnection Agreement for the Provision of 9-1-1 Service to a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (the proposed Agreement) filed by Stentor Resource Centre Inc. (Stentor) on behalf of BC TEL, Bell Canada, Maritime Tel & Tel Limited, MTS Communications Inc. (formerly known as MTS NetCom Inc.), The New Brunswick Telephone Company, Limited and TELUS Communications Inc.

2. The Commission notes that the Agreement filed by MetroNet is modelled on the proposed Agreement filed by Stentor and does not reflect the modifications required by Order 97-1959.

3. The Commission considers that the Agreement should include the modifications set out in Order 97-1959.

4. In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:

The Agreement is granted interim approval conditional upon the modifications outlined in Order 97-1959 being implemented. MetroNet is directed to provide a revised copy of the Agreement to the Commission within 30 days of the date of this Order.
