Telecom Order CRTC 98-1273
On 25 November 1998, BC TEL filed an application for approval of tariff revisions to General Tariff Item 143, SmartTouch Services, to increase the Pay-Per-Use activation charge for the Call Return, Call Again and Three Way Calling features, from $0.50 to $0.75 with a reduction in the maximum charge per billing period from $7.00 (Residence) and $11.00 (Business) to $6.00 for both Residence and Business and to make the monthly subscription rates for these features no longer available. Customers who currently have monthly subscriptions will be permitted to retain their monthly rates for these features while their lines remain in place at the existing service address.

In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:
The proposed tariff revisions to become effective on 23 February 1999 are approved.
