Telecom Order CRTC 98-1103
On 1 October 1998, Island Telecom Inc. filed an application for approval of tariff revisions to General Tariff Item 850, Operator Services, to: (a) remove the Local Operator Assisted Dialing service; (b) discontinue the Busy Line Verification/Interruption service but continue to provide it in emergency situations at no charge; and (c) charge for Long Distance Directory Assistance requests within the 902 NPA only when the number provided appears in one of the telephone company directories serving the 902 NPA.

In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:
The proposed tariff revisions to become effective on 8 February 1999 are approved.
