Tri-Co Broadcasting Limited
Cornwall, Ontario - 199804266
Application processed by
Public Notice CRTC 1998-95
dated 10 September 1998
Increase in power for CFLG-FM
1. The Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CFLG-FM Cornwall by increasing the effective radiated power from 9,500 watts to 30,000 watts. The licensee stated that this change will improve the quality of CFLG-FM's signal thoughout the station's service area.
2. The Commission authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned changes.
3. The Department of Industry has advised the Commission that this application is conditionally technically acceptable. The Department will only issue a Broadcasting Certificate once it has determined that the proposed technical parameters will not create any unacceptable interference with aeronautical NAV/COM services.
4. In accordance with section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence amendment and grant the authority to operate when it receives notification from the Department of Industry that its technical requirements have been met, and that a Broadcasting Certificate will be issued.
