New radio network to broadcast Major League baseball games

1. The Commission approves the application for an English-language radio network licence for the purpose of broadcasting the following Major League Baseball Games for the 1999 and 2000 seasons: the All Star Game, the Wildcard Play Offs, the Divisional Play Offs and the World Series.

2. The Commission will issue a network licence expiring 31 October 2000, subject to the conditions specified in the licence to be issued.

3. Any affiliates of the CBC carrying broadcasts of the games must ensure that their network affiliation agreement is respected, and that any rescheduling of CBC programs affected by the broadcasts in question is acceptable to the CBC.
