Licence amendment and revocation
1. Following Public Notice CRTC 1998-90 dated 20 August 1998, the Commission approves the application to amend the licence for the radiocommunication distribution undertaking serving Soda Creek by
· extending its service area to include McLeese Lake,
· adding the distribution, in non-encrypted mode, of the Open Learning Agency (Knowledge Network), and
· changing the distribution channel for CHAN-TV (CTV) Vancouver and CFJC-TV (CBC) Kamloops and increasing the transmitter power.
2. The licensee is authorized to distribute these services on channels 7, 10 and 13, each with a transmitter power of 50 watts.
3. The licensee currently operates a radiocommunication distribution undertaking at McLeese Lake. The amendments noted above will enable the licensee to operate only one undertaking to serve both Soda Creek and McLeese Lake.
4. Finally, the licensee has requested the revocation of its licence for the radiocommunication distribution undertaking serving McLeese Lake should the amendments to the licence of the Soda Creek undertaking be approved.
5. In view of the licensee's request and pursuant to paragraph 9(1)(e) and subsection 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission hereby revokes the licence issued to McLeese Lake Recreation Commission for the undertaking serving McLeese Lake.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
