Licence amendments

1. Following Public Notice CRTC 1998-30 dated 14 April 1998, the Commission approves the applications to amend the Class 3 licences for the cable distribution undertakings serving the above-noted communities as follows:

a)  by deleting the distribution of CHCH-TV (IND) Hamilton, WTOL-TV (CBS) Toledo, Ohio, WUHF (FOX) Rochester, New York, WTVS (PBS), WXYZ-TV (ABC) and WDIV (NBC) Detroit, Michigan, received via satellite from Cancom; and

b)  by authorizing the distribution, at the licensee's option, of CHCH-TV (IND) Hamilton, WIVB-TV (CBS), WNED-TV (PBS), WUTV (FOX) Buffalo, New York, WXYZ-TV (ABC) and WDIV (NBC) Detroit, Michigan.

2. The licensee may receive any authorized signals over the air or from any licensed or exempted Canadian broadcasting distribution undertaking authorized to provide signals to other broadcasting distribution undertakings. The Commission notes that the licensee intends to receive the signals noted above by optical fibre.

This decision is to be appended to each licence.
