CALENDAR OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Commission hereby announces its calendar of Public Hearings (broadcasting) for the Fall of 1997.

 Applications in response to the call for broadcasting licences to carry on new multipoint distribution systems (MDS) radiocommunication distribution undertakings to provide service in Montréal, Sherbrooke/Trois-Rivières, Quebec City, Lower St. Lawrence, Saguenay/Lac St-Jean, in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec including the National Capital Region, pursuant to Public Notices 1997-44, 45 & 46 dated 25 April 1997 / Demandes en réponse à l'appel de licence de radiodiffusion visant l'exploitation de nouvelles entreprises de distribution (radiocommunication) par systèmes de distribution multipoint (SDM) afin d'offrir un service à Montréal, Sherbrooke/Trois-Rivières, Québec, Bas St-Laurent, Saguenay/Lac St-Jean, dans l'est de l'Ontario et l'ouest du Québec incluant la Région de la Capitale Nationale, tel qu'annoncé dans les avis publics 1997-44, 45 et 46 du 25 avril 1997.

 Comments from the public on the views and concerns expressed on whether the establishment of one or more additional Canadian national English-language, French-language or bilingual television networks would serve the objectives of the broadcasting policy for Canada set out in the Act, as well as the priorities identified by the Governor in Council in the Order in Council P.C. 1997-592, pursuant to Public Notice 1997-48 dated 25 April 1997 and 1997-48-1 dated 12 June 1997 / Observations du public sur les vues et les préoccupations concernant la question de savoir si l'établissement d'un ou de plusieurs autres réseaux nationaux de télévision de langue anglaise, de langue française ou bilingue contribuerait à atteindre les objectifs de la politique canadienne de radiodiffusion qui est exposée dans la Loi et respecterait les priorités que le gouverneur en conseil a cernées dans le décret C.P. 1997-592, tel qu'annoncé dans les avis public 1997-48, du 25 avril 1997 et 1997-48-1 du 12 juin 1997.
