Applications (199702395, 199702403) by SHAW CABLESYSTEMS LTD., 244 Newkirk Road, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4C 3S5, for an extension of time to implement the authorities granted in Decisions CRTC 95-93 and 95-94 for the (cable) distribution undertakings serving the above-mentioned localities by changing the timetable relating to construction and operation in the extension areas of the above-mentioned undertakings until March 8, 1998.
The Commission has already granted an extension of the time limit to implement the aforementioned authorities from 8 March 1996 to 8 March 1997.

2.  KIRKLAND LAKE, Ontario
Application (199612312) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION to amend the (radio) programming undertaking licence of CBCS-FM Sudbury, Ontario, by adding a transmitter at Kirkland Lake, using the currently approved facilities of CBCR-FM. The licence for CBCR-FM Kirkland Lake expires 1 September 1997.
This amendment will bring this licence into conformity with the Broadcasting Act and with Public Notice 1991-63 entitled "New Broadcasting Act - Amendments to Classes of Licence". It will take effect upon expiry of the separate licence currently issued for the CBCR-FM transmitter, that is 31 August 1997.

·  submit your original written intervention to the Secretary General of the Commission (CRTC, Ottawa, K1A 0N2). A true copy MUST be sent to the applicant and a proof of such sending must accompany the original sent to the Commission;
·  the intervention must be received by the CRTC and by the applicant ON OR BEFORE the deadline date indicated below. The Commission cannot be held responsible for postal delays;
·  your intervention should clearly identify the application and indicate whether you support or oppose the application, or if you propose changes to it, with facts and grounds therefor. In the event that the application is brought to the oral phase of a hearing it would be helpful to the Commission if you provide reasons why your written comments are not sufficient and an appearance is necessary;
Your intervention will be considered by the Commission, and will form part of the public record of the proceeding without further notification to you, provided the procedure set out above has been followed. You will be contacted only if your submission raises procedural questions.
