The Commission has received the following applications:

ATLANTIC AND QUEBEC REGION

1. BURTTS CORNER, ZEALAND AND SURROUNDING AREAS, New Brunswick
|
Application (199612544) by FUNDY CABLE LTD./LTÉE, P.O. Box 1569, Fredericton, New Brunswick, E3B 5B1, to change the authorized service area of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving the above-mentioned localities, by extending the service area to 340 additional households in the Keswick and Kingsclear areas, including the Kingsclear Indian Reserve.

The area that Fundy is applying for is currently served by York Satellite T.V. Ltd., which operates a licensed (radiocommunication) distribution undertaking in the Keswick, Kingsclear and Mactaquac areas.

2. QUEBEC CITY, Quebec
|
Application (199606100) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION:
|
a) to amend the authorized contours of station CBVE-FM Quebec City, following the relocation of the transmitter site from Île d'Orléans to Mont-Bélair; and
|
b) to amend the broadcasting licence of the (radio) programming undertaking CBVE-FM Quebec City, by decreasing the effective radiated power from 100,000 to 24,900 watts.
|
The applicant states that these changes will provide the Quebec City region, with a much improved signal, particularly for listeners living in Sainte-Foy, Quebec City, Sillery and surrounding areas.
