Applications (199611067, 199701016) by HALTON CABLE SYSTEM INC., 1603 Main Street West, Hamilton, Ontario, L8S 1E6;
|
a) to renew the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Georgetown, Acton, Milton and surrounding area expiring 31 March 1997; and
|
b) to amend the licence by adding a condition of licence to be relieved of the requirement to distribute CJMR Mississauga and CIAM Cambridge (local stations) as part of its audio service, as set out in section 16 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986.

a) to renew the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Rockwood expiring 31 March 1997; and
|
b) to amend the broadcasting licence as follows:
|
· by deleting the local head end;
|
· by authorizing the licensee to interconnect its cable distribution undertaking through the use of optical fibre with its cable system serving Georgetown, Acton, Milton and surrounding area;
|
· by adding WNEQ-TV (PBS) Buffalo, New York on the basic service to be received via optical fiber;
|
· by being authorized, by condition of licence, to alter the signals of U.S. satellite services for the insertion of promotional material in certain of the local availabilities of those services; and
|
· by being authorized to originate a video game service as a special programming service offered on a discretionary basis.
