The Commission has received the following application:

Application (199704945) by NORTHERN CABLE HOLDINGS LIMITED, 500 Barrydowne Road, P.O. Box 4500, Sudbury, Ontario, P3A 5W1, to amend the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Timmins, by adding a condition of licence to be relieved of the requirement to distribute the Community Channel and the programming service of CHCH-TV Hamilton, Ontario on unrestricted channels, pursuant to section 12 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986.

The licensee indicates that should the quality of the signals deteriorate significantly, it will undertake immediate corrective action including, if necessary, the distribution of the services on other channels.
