Telecom Order CRTC 97-698

On 20 December 1996, the Commission approved, in Telecom Order CRTC 96-1502 (Order 96-1502), an application received from MTS NetCom Inc. (MTS) under Tariff Notice 227 pertaining to the Manitoba Relay Service.

1. On 19 December 1996, the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association submitted comments requesting that MTS' proposal be denied or alternatively that the Commission should approve a surcharge of $0.27.

2. MTS replied on 8 January 1997 that it applied its normal procedure of rounding rates to the nearest $0.05 increment, a practice which MTS has used for many years.

3. In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:
