 Telecom Order CRTC 97-541
 The Commission has received an application from Hong Kong Telecommunications (Pacific) Ltd. (HKTel) dated 3 September 1996, for an exemption from contribution for Canada-Australia international private line circuits provided by BC TEL which are used exclusively for the transmission of enhanced services.

1.  By letter dated 4 September 1996, HKTel filed a technical audit to support its application.
2.  In Telecom Order CRTC 97-81 dated 20 January 1997 (Order 97-81), the Commission deferred its determination of this application pending receipt of a revised technical audit demonstrating that the auditor had performed actual test calls to ensure that there is no possibility of trunk group 350 and trunk group 310 being used to carry voice traffic.
3.  HKTel was also directed to confirm that its proposed plan for ongoing control procedures has been formally introduced.
4.  By letter dated 6 February 1997, HKTel filed its revised technical audit demonstrating that the auditor had performed actual test calls to ensure that there is no possibility of trunk group 350 and trunk group 310 being used to carry voice traffic and confirming that its proposed plan for ongoing control procedures has been formally introduced.
5.  By letter dated 17 February 1997, BC TEL stated that it has no comments with respect to HKTel's revised technical audit and submitted that HKTel had satisfied the requirements of Order 97-81.
6.  The Commission has reviewed the revised technical audit and is of the view that it has satisfied the requirements of Order 97-81 and meets the evidentiary requirements of Applications for Contribution Exemptions, Telecom Decision CRTC 93-2, 1 April 1993.
7.  In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:
