Telecom Order CRTC 97-383
IN THE MATTER OF an application by Télébec ltée (Télébec) under Tariff Notice 128 dated 21 January 1997, for approval of tariff revisions providing for a market trial to study the impact of future Extended Area Service (EAS) links.
WHEREAS the proposed market trial would provide free 1+ dialing between nine specific exchanges from 1 April 1997 to 30 September 1997;
WHEREAS Télébec submitted that the data gathered during this market trial would be useful in the context of planning new EAS links and future rate restructuring proposals; and
WHEREAS the Commission is of the view that Télébec failed to address the market trial criteria set out in Telecom Order CRTC 95-453 -
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:
The proposed tariff revisions submitted by Télébec under Tariff Notice 128 are denied.
