Telecom Order CRTC 97-1964
On 26 November 1997, MetroNet Communications Group Inc. (MetroNet) filed an application under Tariff Notice (TN) 1, amended by TN 1A dated 15 December 1997, for approval of tariffs pertaining to access services for interconnection with interexchange service carriers (IXCs), wireless service providers and other local exchange carriers, digital network service, and terms of service applicable to other telecommunications service providers.

1. With reference to the condition in the tariff providing that the provision of access services to an IXC is contingent upon the IXC satisfying the terms and conditions specified in the CLEC/IXC agreement and related documents, the Commission notes that MetroNet, as a CLEC is required to provide equal access to all IXCs in each of its serving areas as of the date it commences operations in that serving area.
2. With reference to contribution requirements, the Commission notes that applicable contribution rates refers to per minute contribution as applicable.
3. In addition, the Commission directs MetroNet to incorporate changes in these tariffs to reflect the Commission's rulings in Telecom Order CRTC 97-590 of 1 May 1997 and to issue amended tariff pages.
4. In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:
The proposed tariff revisions to become effective on 1 January 1998 are given interim approval.
