By letters dated 27 May 1997 and 2 June 1997, Shaw FiberLink Ltd. (Shaw) requested exemptions from contribution charges for services used for administrative and testing purposes. In support of its two applications, Shaw provided affidavits affirming that the business lines in question are used solely for the purpose of (i) making and receiving administrative calls, and (ii) managing, repairing and upgrading remotely-located network equipment.

1. By letter dated 25 June 1997, Bell Canada noted that the number of such services appear to be reasonable and that the affidavits provided appear to satisfy the Commission's evidentiary requirements for contribution exemptions when circuits are used for administrative purposes.

2. The Commission is of the view that Shaw has met its evidentiary requirements.
|
3. Accordingly, based on the above, Shaw's applications are approved effective the date of installation.
