Telecom Order CRTC 97-1175

On 30 June 1997, Télébec ltée (Télébec) filed for approval revisions and updates to its Phase III Manual.

1. In Regulatory Framework for Québec-Téléphone and Télébec ltée, Telecom Decision CRTC 96-5, 7 August 1996 (Decision 96-5), the Commission approved Télébec's Phase III Manual and directed the company to revise its switching assignment procedures in accordance with the directives specified in Review of Phase III of the Cost Inquiry, Telecom Decision CRTC 94-24, 18 November 1994. Decision 96-5 also directed Télébecto include, in its Investment in Subsidiaries and Affiliates (ISA) reporting category, the investment in its cellular affiliate, Télébec Mobilité Inc. in order to achieve consistency in the presentation of its Phase III results.

2. On 15 November 1996, Télébec submitted the required revisions to its Phase III Manual in accordance with Decision 96-5.

3. On 30 June 1997, Télébec filed an update submission to its Phase III Manual which included additions and deletions of accounts in various studies to bring its Manual up to date with its Accounting Manual but provided no methodology changes.

4. No comments on the proposed updates were submitted by interested parties.
|
5. The Commission has reviewed the 30 June 1997 updates as filed by Télébec and finds them acceptable.
|
6. In light of the foregoing, the Commission approves Télébec's proposed Phase III Manual updates.
|
7. The revisions and updates approved in this Order are to be used in the production of Télébec's 1996 audited Phase III results to be filed with the Commission by 31 October 1997.
